On Friday, January 14, 2022 I will be speaking at the M365 Chicago Virtual event. You can attend the event for free, by signing up via the Eventbrite link on the website of M365 Chicago. There are more than 100 session during the day given by great speakers.
What is M365Chicago? It is where Microsoft 365 specialists, Cloud IT administrators, Power Platform administrators, end users, architects, developers, and other professionals that work with Microsoft Collaboration or Cloud Technologies meet to share the latest information for working with anything and everything related to Microsoft 365 and Power Platform.
The events are community-led, dedicated to educate and engage members of the local technical community. It draws upon the expertise of IT Professionals, Microsoft MVPs, Developers and Solution Architects who come together to share their real-world experiences, lessons learned, best practices, and general knowledge with other like-minded individuals.
The organizing committee consists of: Heather Ackmann, Michael Blumenthal, Anthony Escobedo, Craig Jahnke, Jay Leask and Ralph Rivas.
The event starts at 7:00 am and will end at 19:00 in the Central Time time zone, which is 14:00 till 01:00 in the Amsterdam time zone.
At 11:00 AM (18:00 Amsterdam time zone), my #WPNinjasNL buddy Peter Daalmans will host a session on this event as well, titled: “Ten practical tips to secure you corporate data with Microsoft 365 – 202201 edition”
My session will start at 7:00 (14:00 Amsterdam time zone). The topic will be: “Azure AD Conditional Access Demystified“
In July 2016 Microsoft made Conditional Access generally available. Since that time I had a love and hate relationship with this functionality of Azure AD. Mainly because it’s difficult to test scenario’s and some changes can have a really high impact. I even experienced being locked out of accessing the Azure portal during one of my tests.
In this session I will share my experiences about implementing Conditional Access at several customers, I will explain what went wrong so you don’t have to make the same mistakes. I further will cover how to design, implement, test and troubleshoot Conditional Access policies and last but not least, I will share my own Conditional Access policy baseline which I use as a starting point for every implementation. Because sharing is caring.

did they record your session? It’s not on their Youtube channel and I’d be interested in watching the session.
I don’t think the session was recorded indeed, the best I can do is offer the following video which is a little bit older but covers almost the same topics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01HgYVspdPo
